The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is an excellent wired gaming mouse. It's a smaller version of the Razer DeathAdder V2, and it's one of the lightest mice we've tested, making it great for FPS gaming and ultra-light gaming. It has a wide customizable CPI range and an amazingly low click latency that helps it feel very responsive. Unfortunately, due to its small size, those with larger hands will be limited to a fingertip grip, although small or medium hands should have no problems using it with any grip type.

Our Verdict

N/A Office/Multimedia

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is a decent mouse for office use. It feels very sturdy and well-built, but due to its small size, it's only decently comfortable. The scroll wheel doesn't have an L/R tilt or an infinite scroll unlock button, which isn't ideal for scrolling through long documents.

Pros
  • Highly customizable.
  • Great build quality.
Cons
  • Small size may be uncomfortable to some.
  • Basic scroll wheel features.
N/A Video Games (FPS)

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is a great FPS gaming mouse. Its click latency is so low that even competitive gamers shouldn't notice any unresponsiveness, and its CPI range is quite wide. Also, it's extremely customizable and all of its buttons can be reprogrammed. It's suitable for all hand sizes with a fingertip grip, but small and medium hands can use it with claw or palm grips as well. However, it's only decently comfortable due to its small size.

Pros
  • Very lightweight.
  • Amazingly low click latency.
  • Great build quality.
Cons
  • Small size may be uncomfortable to some.
N/A Video Games (MMO)

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is a great MMO gaming mouse. Although it doesn't have as many buttons as dedicated MMO mice, all of the buttons it does have are reprogrammable. However, due to its small size, it may not feel very comfortable for long gaming sessions.

Pros
  • Amazingly low click latency.
  • Highly customizable.
  • Great build quality.
Cons
  • Small size may be uncomfortable to some.
N/A Travel

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini isn't designed for travel. Its non-removable wire might get in the way in tight spaces like on a bus or plane. On the plus side, it's a small and lightweight mouse that shouldn't feel heavy when you slide it into your laptop bag.

Pros
  • Very lightweight.
Cons
  • Wired-only design.
  • Small size may be uncomfortable to some.
  • N/A Office/Multimedia
  • N/A Video Games (FPS)
  • N/A Video Games (MMO)
  • N/A Travel

Differences Between Sizes And Variants

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini comes in classic black only. See our unit label here.

Compared To Other Mice

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is the smaller version of the Razer DeathAdder V2. Although its sensor performance isn't as good as some other gaming mice, it's still impressive. Due to its small size, people with larger hands may want to consider the V2 since it may be better suited for their hand size. You can also check out our recommendations for the best mice, the best wired mice, and the best FPS mice.

Razer Viper Mini

The Razer Viper Mini and the Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini are excellent gaming mice, but the Viper performs better. The Viper's click latency is slightly lower, and it has a slightly better CPI consistency. The mice are almost identical in size and weight, although the DeathAdder V2 Mini is slightly bigger and heavier, but not by much. Also, both are best suited for a fingertip grip.

Razer DeathAdder Essential

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is overall better than the Razer DeathAdder Essential. They have the same classic shape, but the V2 Mini is a lot smaller and lighter. Also, the V2 Mini has a CPI switching button below its scroll wheel, a more flexible cable, and better quality mouse feet. It has a wider CPI range, and its click latency is much lower. However, the Essential's sensor is significantly more consistent, and its better suited for larger hands using a palm or claw grip.

Razer DeathAdder V2

The Razer DeathAdder V2 is a better mouse than the Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini. It has better ergonomics, a wider and more adjustable CPI range, and a slightly lower click latency. However, the Mini feels better built, and it's much lighter, making it great for fans of ultra-light gaming mice.

Razer DeathAdder Elite

The Razer DeathAdder Elite and the Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini are both very good gaming mice. The Mini has a lower click latency, and it's much lighter than the Elite, thanks to its smaller size. However, the Elite has more programmable buttons, a more adjustable and consistent sensor, and its larger size makes it better suited for large and extra-large hands. However, the Elite doesn't have on-board memory like the Mini does.

Razer Viper

The Razer Viper is overall a better gaming mouse than the Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini, but the Mini is better for a fingertip grip if you have small hands. The Viper has a wider CPI range that can be adjusted more precisely, a lower lift-off distance, and a significantly more consistent sensor. However, the Mini has onboard memory, and its feet glide much smoother.

Redragon COBRA M711-FPS

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini and the Redragon COBRA M711-FPS are both budget-level gaming mice, but the Razer is a better gaming mouse overall. The Razer is significantly lighter and feels sturdier. It also has a more flexible cable, mouse feet that glide much more smoothly, and a lower click latency. On the other hand, the Redragon has a much wider CPI range and a significantly more consistent sensor. Both mice are suitable for all grip types, but the Razer is better suited for smaller hands, while the Redragon is more accomodating for larger hand sizes.

GLORIOUS Model O

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini and the GLORIOUS Model O are both excellent gaming mice. The Razer has a lower click latency, and you can switch profiles directly from the mouse, unlike the GLORIOUS. The Razer is also lighter than the GLORIOUS, but the GLORIOUS' CPI maximum is much higher, and its bigger size should be more comfortable for those with larger hands.

GLORIOUS Model D

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is better than the GLORIOUS Model D. The Razer is better built and lighter than the GLORIOUS. The Razer also has a lower click latency and more programmable buttons. However, people with larger hands might be more comfortable with the GLORIOUS thanks to its bigger size, and it's quieter to use.

Logitech M525

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is a great gaming mouse, while the Logitech M525 is a good budget travel mouse. The Razer is a right-handed mouse that's much lighter and has two side buttons. It also has a broader CPI range, an adjustable set CPI, a much higher polling rate, and a much lower click latency. On the other hand, the Logitech is an ambidextrous mouse that connects wirelessly with a USB receiver and is more portable. Both mice are best-suited for a fingertip grip and will likely only be suitable for smaller hands using other grip types.

MSI CLUTCH GM20 ELITE

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is a slightly better wired gaming mouse than the MSI CLUTCH GM20 ELITE. The Razer is much lighter and has a more flexible cable. It also has mouse feet that glide more smoothly, a higher maximum CPI, and significantly lower click latency. You can also set a HyperShift button to enable a secondary layer of controls. On the other hand, the MSI feels sturdier and has a thumb rest. It also has a much more consistent sensor and includes a set of added weights.

MSI CLUTCH GM30

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is a better wired gaming mouse than the MSI CLUTCH GM30. The Razer is significantly lighter and has a more flexible cable. You can assign a HyperShift button that enables the second layer of commands. It also has mouse feet that glide more smoothly, a higher maximum CPI, and a much lower click latency. On the other hand, the MSI has a much more consistent sensor. Both mice are suitable for all grip types, but the Razer has a right-handed shape and is better suited for smaller hands, while the MSI has an ambidextrous shape and, overall, is better suited for larger hands.
