The eufy HomeVac H11 is a basic but well-built handheld vacuum. It's best suited for spot cleaning and does a good job of cleaning pet hair on all kinds of surfaces. It's also very easy to take apart and put back together, requires little in the way of regular maintenance, and incurs few recurring costs. That said, its 13-minute battery life and extremely small dirt compartment limit its usefulness if you have an especially large mess to clean up. Also, really large debris like cereal can become trapped at the head of the vacuum and prevent it from sucking up any more material. That said, if you're looking for a very compact and lightweight cordless vacuum to take care of small spills, this is a solid option.

Our Verdict

N/A Bare Floor

The eufy HomeVac H11 is okay for bare floors. It can suck up pet hair and small debris like rice without an issue, but larger, bulkier objects can get stuck at the entry to the dirt compartment. However, its simple design makes it easy to dislodge any stuck material, and there are few recurring costs to worry about. Its lightweight design should allow you to easily maneuver around various obstructions.

Pros
  • Easy to maintain.
  • Few recurring costs.
  • Clears pet hair without an issue.
  • Good build quality.
Cons
  • Large debris can get trapped at dirt compartment entrance.
  • Short battery life.
  • Small dirt compartment requires frequent emptying.
  • Struggles to clear small and large debris.
N/A Low-Pile Carpet

The eufy HomeVac H11 is decent for low-pile carpet. It can clean pet hair without a problem, but it struggles slightly when cleaning larger debris like sand, and even more so with finer material, such as baking soda. You also need to empty its tiny dirt compartment very frequently. Thankfully, the vacuum itself is well-built, easy to maintain, and has only one source of recurring costs.

N/A High-Pile Carpet

The eufy HomeVac H11 is acceptable for high-pile carpet. It feels quite premium and can suck up pet hair quite efficiently, but it doesn't do especially well with either small or large debris, and you need to empty the dirt compartment very often. However, it's easy to take apart and reassemble, not to mention quite cheap to maintain.

N/A Pets

The eufy HomeVac H11 is great for pets. It does a remarkable job of cleaning pet hair on most surfaces and is easy to maintain. Recurring costs are very low, and the vacuum feels sturdy. Thanks to its lightweight cordless design and included extension wand, you can effectively use it in any room in your house or even inside your car. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a HEPA filter to reduce the spread of allergens, and its bottom-mounted exhaust fan could blow away hair as you clean.

Pros
  • Easy to maintain.
  • Few recurring costs.
  • Clears pet hair without an issue.
Cons
  • Short battery life.
  • No HEPA filter.
N/A Stairs

The eufy HomeVac H11 is outstanding for cleaning stairs. While its 13-minute battery life and handheld design don't make it an ideal choice for cleaning a massive staircase, it's very lightweight and can easily be carried up and down flights of stairs. That said, it may struggle with cleaning up large debris, like cereal, which can get trapped at the entrance to the dirt compartment. It also struggles with clearing fine-grain material on carpets.

Pros
  • Easy to maintain.
  • Clears pet hair without an issue.
  • Lightweight design.
  • Good build quality.
Cons
  • Large debris can get trapped at dirt compartment entrance.
  • Short battery life.
  • Struggles to clear small and large debris.
N/A Cars

The eufy HomeVac H11 is excellent for cleaning the inside of your car. Its cordless, compact, and lightweight design and included crevice tool should allow you to clean the deepest corners of your car's interior without struggling too much. However, its 13-minute battery life may force you to work quickly when cleaning large messes. Also, it may have some issues when trying to suck up small debris like baking soda from upholstery due to its lack of a turbo brush.

Pros
  • Easy to maintain.
  • Clears pet hair without an issue.
  • Lightweight design.
  • Good build quality.
Cons
  • Short battery life.
  • Struggles to clear small and large debris.

Differences Between Sizes And Variants

There are two variants of this vacuum: the basic eufy HomeVac H11 and the eufy HomeVac H11 Pure. We tested the eufy HomeVac H11. The main difference between the base model and the Pure variant is that the latter has an ozone-dispersal feature that's meant to reduce strong odors while cleaning, though we've yet to test its performance.

Compared To Other Vacuums

The eufy HomeVac H11 is a sturdy handheld vacuum with little in the way of extra features. It has a simple design that demands little in terms of regular upkeep, and it has few recurring costs. However, due to its short battery life, tiny dirt compartment, and handheld-only design, it's best-suited for spot cleaning, not clearing debris from large rooms. If you're looking for more options, take a look at our list of recommendations of the best car vacuums, the best cordless vacuums, and the best cordless vacuums for pet hair.

Shark WANDVAC

The Shark WANDVAC is a better handheld vacuum than the eufy HomeVac H11. The Shark is more effective on all surface types, has a larger dirt compartment, and recharges much faster. Unlike the eufy, it also has a charging station with an accessory rack and incurs virtually no recurring costs. The eufy has a slightly longer continuous runtime and is a little bit lighter.

BISSELL AeroSlim/TurboSlim

The BISSELL AeroSlim/TurboSlim and eufy HomeVac H11 are extremely closely-matched, which isn't surprising given their very similar designs. They share almost identical battery life, recharge times, overall cleaning performance, and build quality. However, the BISSELL does distinguish itself from the eufy thanks to its washable, as opposed to disposable, filters and included rack station that stores its combination tool.

BISSELL Featherweight Stick

The BISSELL Featherweight Stick and eufy HomeVac H11 have different strengths and weaknesses, which isn't surprising given their drastically different designs. The BISSELL is a corded upright/handheld vacuum that's better suited for cleaning larger areas due to its superior cleaning performance on all surface types and theoretically indefinite runtime. The handheld eufy feels much sturdier and is better for spot cleaning, as its cordless, extremely lightweight design makes it much easier to clean the hard-to-reach areas of your home or the inside of your car.

Black+Decker 16V MAX dustbuster Cordless Hand Vacuum

The Black+Decker dustbuster Hand Vacuum is a more versatile handheld vacuum than the eufy HomeVac H11. The Black+Decker is far more effective on bare floors, has a larger dirt compartment, and lower recurring costs. That said, the eufy is smaller and lighter. It also has a longer continuous battery life and a shorter recharge time.

HoLife HM036E

The HoLife HM036E is a better cordless handheld vacuum than the eufy HomeVac H11. While both vacuums feel similarly well-built and easy to maintain, the HoLife has a better performance on all surface types. Although we don't currently test for this, it can even clean up liquid spills, thanks to its specialized tool. Its dirt compartment is bigger and it has a better overall battery performance. However, the eufy is more portable.

Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro+ [CH951, CH964AMZ]

The Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro+ is a better overall handheld vacuum than the eufy HomeVac H11. The Shark is easier to maintain, it has a larger dirt compartment, and it comes with a turbo brush. it also offers significantly better performance on all surface types than the eufy. However, the eufy has a somewhat better battery performance, and some users may prefer its smaller size.

Wyze Handheld Vacuum

The Wyze Handheld Vacuum is better than the eufy HomeVac H11. The Wyze has a HEPA filter to trap allergens as you clean, a power adjustment feature to boost suction power, and more tools. It also does a better job of clearing debris on almost every kind of surface type.

The eufy H11 has good build quality. It's made entirely of dense, sturdy-feeling plastic, except for the dirt compartment, which feels a little flimsy and could break if it's dropped. It's ready to be used out-of-the-box and is very easy to take apart for maintenance and put back together again.

This vacuum is quite easy to maintain, with a simple design that allows you to quickly access its various components. There are a few parts that need to be regularly maintained.

  • Dirt compartment: You can remove the dirt compartment by twisting it clockwise against the main vacuum body. You have to remove the two filters from inside before emptying it or rinsing it out with water. It should be emptied after every use.
  • Filters: The lint screen surrounds the high-performance filter inside the dirt compartment. You can twist the lint screen clockwise to separate the two components. Both parts should be washed under water for one minute once a week, or twice a week if you have pets.

All parts that can be cleaned with water should be left to dry for at least 24 hours before putting them back in the vacuum.

The eufy H11 has few recurring costs. The high-performance filter and lint screen/primary filter should be replaced after 50 rounds of cleaning or six months of usage, depending on whatever comes first. The components are sold as a single unit together and can be purchased in packs of two on the manufacturer's website or the eufy store page on Amazon. Consider the BISSELL AeroSlim/TurboSlim if you're looking for a similarly-performing handheld vacuums with virtually no recurring costs.

The eufy HomeVac H11's dirt compartment is terrible, though that's a result of the vacuum's very small size. It needs to be emptied very frequently and, unlike the HoLife HM036E, it doesn't have a fill line to let you know when you've reached max capacity.

This vacuum performs passably well on bare floors. It can clean pet hair and small debris like rice without an issue. However, it struggles significantly with larger material, like loose pieces of cereal, which can become trapped at the entrance of the dirt compartment and prevent the vacuum from sucking up any more debris. If you're looking for a handheld vacuum with far better bare-floor cleaning performance, consider the Shark WANDVAC.
